Who We Are

Erik Langburt
  • Erik Langburt is the Managing Principal of Metula Capital, where he oversees investment strategy, capital deployment, asset management, and strategic relationships. He drives a disciplined and thoughtful approach to capital allocation, aligning long-term value with forward-looking market opportunities.

    Erik brings 20 years of commercial real estate experience, grounded in both brokerage and principal investing. Before founding Metula Capital, he served as Vice President of Acquisitions and Investments at Broccolini—a best-in-class vertically integrated developer and fund manager. In this role, he led deal origination, underwriting, transaction execution, and leasing strategy across industrial, office, and investment portfolios. His work also included structuring complex principal and joint-venture transactions that balanced risk, return, and stakeholder alignment.

    Earlier in his career, Erik served as Executive Vice President at Cushman & Wakefield, where he advised top global institutional clients and corporate brands on market-defining lease negotiations and property dispositions. Throughout his tenure, Erik was involved in over 2,000 transactions totalling over 30M sf and $3B in deal value across various market cycles, leading to his consistent recognition as a top producer in Canada. 

    Erik holds an MBA in Corporate Strategy from Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Entrepreneurship from McGill University. He remains deeply involved in community-driven initiatives, including leadership roles with non-profits focused on affordable housing.

Daniel Fagen
  • Daniel Fagen is the Managing Partner of Metula Capital, where he leads investment strategy, partnerships, capital raising, and transaction execution. His investment approach centers on value creation and risk management through disciplined underwriting, efficient capital structuring, and accretive debt financing.

    With nearly 15 years of real estate investment experience, Daniel has worked across both advisory and principal platforms. He previously served on the Capital Markets team at CBRE and later joined the investments team at Broccolini, where he led investment analysis and debt financing initiatives across the firm’s portfolio. During a period of significant growth for the company, he sourced, structured, and executed over $4 billion in debt financing across more than 50 assets spanning multiple property types.

    Daniel brings a capital markets–driven perspective to real estate investing, combining analytical rigor with practical execution. He works closely with lenders, brokers, and equity partners to structure transactions that balance downside protection with upside potential, and is known for being responsive, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused throughout the transaction process.

    Daniel values transparency, alignment, and long-term partnership, and approaches each investment with a strong emphasis on fundamentals and disciplined decision-making. He is also active in community and non-profit initiatives focused on expanding access to affordable housing for vulnerable members of the Montreal community.
